The way we Larkins rely on Amazon is bad, you guys. Sometimes I end up placing two orders a day because we’re always in need of some kind of restock, a tool for a project, and/or gifts for birthday parties. Anyway, I mention that because Amazon’s big sale of the season is officially HERE. It’s my favorite time to pick up essentials—and stuff that isn’t technically essential but makes life WAY better. Here’s the full list of my picks, and above/below are some of my favorites.
Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen: I will always be loyal to Supergoop! sunscreen. This one is SPF 40 and completely, totally invisible. PLUS, it’s an amazing base/primer for makeup. (Their Glowscreen is on sale too, which literally makes your skin glow!)
Yoto Mini Player: I wrote the longest review ever about this screen-free audio player, but all you really need to know is that my girls are OBSESSED. They can listen to music or audiobooks, and my favorite part is the Make Your Own Cards that let you record your own audio. Oh, and their protective covers and card cases are on sale too!
Hero Mighty Patches: There are a ton of hydrocolloid acne patches out there, but Hero’s are the BEST. They shrink your pimples while you sleep, so you don’t end up popping and picking at them instead. (Not that I’ve ever done that…)
Bissell Little Green Cleaner: There’s a reason why everyone is posting about this. It’s absolutely ESSENTIAL if you have kids or pets. All those spills and stains on your upholstery and rugs? Yeah, it sucks all of them out. All. Of. Them. I pinky promise, you won’t regret it.
Kindle: First of all, how pretty is this green color?! So much more fun than black. If you’re a reader and still haven’t pulled the trigger on a Kindle, now’s the time. Even if you prefer physical books, being able to pull this out while traveling or waiting at the doctor’s office is SUUUCH a game changer.
Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer: I’m all about the classics, and these sunglasses are as good as it gets. Wayfarers look good on pretty much everyone and will never, ever, ever, ever, ever go out of style.
Supergoop! PLAY Sunscreen: All of my Chicago mom friends love this stuff, and I totally get why. It’s not sticky or greasy, doesn’t have a weird smell, and leaves no white cast. Plus, it’s great for sensitive skin. We always keep a bottle or two on hand.
Nippies Nipple Covers: For sheer or backless tops, these nipple covers are as good as it gets. They stay sticky for way longer than other brands, and peeling them off doesn’t hurt at all!
Beckham Hotel Pillows: EVERYONE who owns these pillows, loves them. They’re comfortable on all kinds of sleepers, go on sale often, and feel more expensive than they are.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask: The Chicago winter is coming, which means it’s time to stock up on any and all moisturizers. My skin is already naturally dry, so Laneige’s leave-on mask works wonders—no chapped lips whatsoever!!
Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater Stain Treater: This. Is. Magic. Seriously, I don’t understand how this stain remover can be as effective as it is. Days-old berry stains on a white shirt? Piece of cake. Once you try this, you’ll never go back to your old stain remover.
Tineco Floor ONE S5 Wet-Dry Vacuum and Mop: Where has this been all my life?! The fact that you can vacuum and mop AT THE SAME TIME is just insane, plus it’s just so convenient. This is the one all my Chicago mom friends swear by.
